A person making an introduction should have permission to share the referred person’s contact information. The referred person is free to decide whether to respond, request a consultation or enter a representation relationship.
Website use, a phone call or an initial inquiry does not create agency, representation, confidentiality obligations beyond applicable law, or an entitlement to compensation. Those matters are established through the appropriate agreements and disclosures.
Professional-to-professional referrals
Where another licensed real-estate professional refers a client, any compensation arrangement should be documented by the relevant brokerages or licensed parties before services are materially advanced. Terms can vary and are not published as a standard fee on this site.
Where a lawyer, lender, accountant, relocation provider or other professional makes an introduction, their own regulatory and conflict obligations continue to apply. Paul does not provide legal, tax, lending or investment advice by virtue of the referral.
